Avalanche, Glacier, or snow lily

Erythronium grandiflorum

Found in western states & Canada often at receding snowbanks, hence the name. Bears consume the bulbs.  Six, petal-like tepals curve back to expose stigma and stamens. Often found in damp, wet, high meadows.
